Once upon a time—no, actually, every single time I think I’ve found the holy grail of bras, the one that will finally mean I’ve reached ‘bra-nirvana’—it turns out to betray me.
OMG, I could have written this article (only not as well as you!). But can very much relate to the issue of bra torture and the pain of needing one. Thanks for writing. I feel less alone on my pain.
I recently had a dark humor moment with my therapist where I moaned that if I'm gonna get cancer, couldn't it have been breast cancer so insurance would cover getting them removed! Ever since I was a child, I've longed for a long, lean, flat torso - these bumpy things that get sweaty underneath without a bra serve as nothing more than an annoyance for my ND brain.
The first thing I do when I get in the door is whip the bra off. I've become less tolerant of anything tight in recent years which I put down to perimenopause ramping up sensory sensitivities.
Bras and jeans are hell for me. I favor wearing as little as possible at home and cotton sports bras, leggings, huge tshirt for leaving the house. Sometimes I can do the cami with built-in bra or just a tight camisole under a loose dress (with short leggings under cause thigh rub...) But, yes. All is this late diagnosis and understanding stuff is just as you describe!
I would buy these in a heart beat as have similar issues with skin sensitivities as you describe. Unfortunately though I cannot ever wear white or beige. All the packs have one of these shades in. Those shades are not allowed in my wardrobe. I have a complete block against wearing them as a result 🤷🏼♀️ where are the black three packs?
If only they sold them in one colour. I cannot stand beige. I don't know if I will ever wear it. Why do they sell them in a pack of black, white and beige?!?!?!

Thanks for sharing, glad you liked it. :-)
The princess and the pea is the perfect metaphor for dysregulation. Thanks. I’m so going to use this next time I have to explain how it feels!
